The Climb Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 18, 2026
The Climb is a faith-based discipline and self-improvement app. This policy explains what the app collects and how that data is used.
Data We Collect
- Account information, including authentication ID, email address, and display name.
- Onboarding choices, including goals, age group, main struggle, streak goal, and notification preferences.
- Missions, devotionals, journal entries, reflections, progress, streaks, and OVR history.
- Community content, including posts, group activity, accountability interactions, reports, and blocked users.
- Technical data needed to sync app state, support widgets, and operate Firebase services.
How We Use Data
We use data to personalize daily missions and devotionals, sync your progress across devices, power accountability features, maintain community safety, respond to support requests, and improve app reliability.
AI Features
When AI generation is enabled, profile context and recent reflection history may be sent to a secure Firebase Cloud Function to generate daily missions and devotionals. OpenAI API keys are stored server-side only and are not included in the iOS app.
Community Safety
Users can report posts, block users, and delete their own posts. Reports may include the reported post, the reported user ID, the reporting user ID, the reason, and the report time.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account in the Profile tab. Deletion removes your account and synced app data tied to your user ID, including profile data, missions, devotionals, journal entries, progress, posts, reports, and leaderboard records.
